Telephone Access:

The St. Landry Parish Correctional Center shall provide offenders access to a telephone. As a courtesy to the offenders, the St. Landry Parish Correctional Center has installed telephones for offender use. The use of these telephones is a privilege granted to the offenders by the Correctional Center to provide the offenders with the opportunity to converse with family and friends. The Warden or his designee reserves the right to suspend offender telephone use and may, for security reasons, monitor telephone conversations.After the completion of the initial booking process all offenders will be allowed (1) phone call concerning his/her incarceration.Each offender is allowed (1) ten minute free phone call every (30) days. Offenders have access to a telephone in their housing area. These telephones may be used by the offenders to make unlimited telephone calls during the hours:

  • Mondays - Thursdays 0500 hours until 2230 hours

  • Fridays - Saturdays 0500 hours until 2359 hours

  • Sundays 0500 hours until 2230 hours

 

 

Offenders can make collect calls or direct calls by using purchased pre-paid minutes which can be purchased using the following methods:

  • Offenders can purchase minutes themselves by using available funds on their commissary account

  • Relatives or friends of offenders can purchase pre-paid minutes by calling our telephone service provider, American Phone Systems at 1-800-943-2189

  • Relatives or friends of offenders can purchase pre-paid minutes by going to our telephone service provider, American Phone Systems website www.ncic.com

 

A request to block telephone calls from offenders is an available courtesy option to those who don’t wish to receive telephone calls from St. Landry Parish Correctional Center offenders.   A request to block calls must be done through our Service Provider, American Phone Systems by calling 1-800-943-2189 or visit accounts.ncic.com
