The IT Department is headed by Detective Ricky Leger, Jr.  Rick Jr has been with the St Landry Parish Sheriff's Department since July of 2000.  During this time he has dispatched, worked community policing, patrol, tax collecting, and IT work.  The IT Department is responsible for making sure that all computer related functions remain running at their full capability.  This includes, but is not limited to: servers, network connections, desktop computers, laptop computers and software.  The St Landry Parish Sheriff's Department is dedicated to staying on the cutting edge when it comes to technology and the pursuit to fight and prevent crime as well as serve the citizens of this parish.  The Eunice Sub-Station, Lebeau Sub-Station, Cankton Sub-Station and Leonville Sub-Station are connected with the main office.  They all run real-time software making it possible for each office to see complaints and activities that are happening parish wide allowing for better communication and faster/better response.
