HOW DO I

PAY TICKETS

The fines (traffic) department accepts payment on traffic tickets, criminal fines, and/or any fees ordered by the courts. 

Hours of Operations:
Monday thru Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

TO MAKE A PAYMENT

In Person:
The fines (traffic) department is located in the St. Landry Parish Courthouse, 118 S. Court Street, Suite 121.  Acceptable forms of payment are cash or money orders.

By Mail:
Payments need to be addressed to St. Landry Parish Sheriff, ATTN: Traffic Department, P.O. Box 1029, Opelousas, LA  70571.  The only acceptable form of payment, when paying by mail is a money order payable to St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.  When paying traffic tickets by mail, the ticket or a copy of the ticket must be included.  When paying criminal fines by mail, the docket number must be on the money order.
