HOW DO I

PAY MY TAXES

The St. Landry Sheriff's Department allows three ways of payment: in person, by mail or by utilizing our NEW online payment service.

Payments will not be accepted after 4:30 p.m.  Taxes are due by December 31.

In Person

The Tax Department is located in the St. Landry Parish Courthouse, 118 S. Court Street, Suite 121.  Hours of Operation: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Monday thru Friday

Acceptable forms of payment are cash, check, or money orders. 

Checks and money orders must be made payable to St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.  To expedite the process, please bring the tax notice stub or assessment number.

By Mail

Acceptable forms of payment are checks or money orders payable to St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.  Please include the return stub with payment and the assessment number on the check or money order to insure proper posting.  Two weeks after mailing, please call and verify that payment was received and posted.

The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office recently expanded its website capabilities to give the community the opportunity to view and pay their taxes electronically. For a nominal fee, you can pay your taxes with all major credit and debit cards. Click on the link below to utilize this new feature.
